Petrovietnam was named in the Top 50 Innovative and Effective Enterprises 2025 (VIE50) and Top 10 by industry (VIE10), affirming its position as a national pillar economic group, constantly innovating and restructuring to adapt to the global energy transition. Along with that, Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation ( PTSC ) was also recognized in both VIE50 and VIE10 categories, demonstrating its commitment to innovation in production and business activities, technology and business models; PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services Corporation (PV Drilling) was honored in the VIE10 category.

In the ESG field, the Environmental, Social and Governance criteria are becoming the “new standard” in business development, and Petrovietnam’s member units continue to affirm their persistent efforts towards the goal of net zero emissions. In the list of Top 100 ESG Green Vietnam Enterprises 2025 (ESG100), Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company ( BSR ) and PV Drilling were honored. Notably, both of these enterprises are also in the Top 10 ESG Green Vietnam by industry (ESG10), reflecting their pioneering role in integrating ESG criteria into production and business strategies in the energy and oil and gas industry, a sector with many environmental challenges and high requirements for technological transformation.

The event was organized by the Finance and Investment Newspaper (Ministry of Finance) and Viet Research Company, aiming to spread the values ​​of sustainable development and innovation in the Vietnamese business community. According to Viet Research's survey results, 96% of enterprises in ESG100 and ESG10 have clear strategies or goals towards Net Zero; 93% have made specific commitments to reduce carbon emissions; and nearly 90% of VIE50 and VIE10 enterprises are increasing investment in research and development (R&D) and digital technology.

At the event, leading economic experts such as Associate Professor Dr. Bui Quang Tuan and Dr. Vo Tri Thanh emphasized the role of innovation, technology and green development in shaping a new generation of businesses that are flexible, responsible and highly adaptable to market fluctuations and global trends. These shares clearly show that, in an era where sustainable development is no longer an option but an inevitable requirement, businesses that are slow to change will find it difficult to maintain their competitive position.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Le Trong Minh - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Finance - Investment Newspaper emphasized: "ESG is not only a trend but also a vital standard in the long-term strategy of each enterprise. In Vietnam, ESG implementation has been strongly promoted after the Net Zero commitment at COP26. Accompanying that is the national policy to encourage circular economy, transparency and responsibility in corporate governance".

The fact that Petrovietnam and many of its member companies were honored in the ESG and innovation categories in 2025 not only affirms their internal capacity and correct development orientation, but also reflects the strong commitment of the entire national energy industry in the green transformation journey, leading sustainable development and innovation.

In the context of the global economy facing dual challenges from climate change and restructuring pressure, enterprises such as Petrovietnam, PV Drilling, BSR or PTSC are not only the leading birds of the energy industry but also a testament to the vision, courage and commitment to Vietnam's green future.
