Despite difficulties and challenges in the context of “dual crisis” from the Covid-19 pandemic and the decline in oil price, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) has recognized opportunities to consolidate the “formation”, ready for a new stage of development. The spirit of Petrovietnam is to achieve the “dual goal” in the “dual crisis”, that is to ensure effective prevention of epidemic as well as ensure production and business. Petrovietnam exceeds January target

2020 is the fifth year that Petrovietnam has implemented the Vietnam Oil and Gas Industry Development Strategy to 2025 and orientations to 2035. Successful implementation of the 2020 plan contributes to the successful achievement of objectives and tasks of the 5-year plan (2016-2020), together with the whole country overcoming difficulties and challenges to accelerate economic development in parallel with maintaining macroeconomic stability, continuing to strongly implement economic restructuring is associated with renewing the growth model, improving productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness, ensuring social security, social welfare and improving people's lives. Being aware of this, Petrovietnam is determined to fulfill and over-fulfill the plan right from the first days and the first month of the year.

Following the publication of Profit500 Ranking 2019 - Top 500 best profitable enterprises in Vietnam in 2019, in which Petrovietnam maintains the leading position, on 26th November 2019, Vietnam Report continued to publish VNR500 - Top 500 largest enterprises in Vietnam in 2019, under which Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group continued to lead with two names in the Top 10 list (Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) ranked 3rd and Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) ranked 7th.

Petrovietnam and PV GAS start construction of one-million-ton LNG warehouse at Thi Vai

On 28th October 2019, at Thi Vai Terminal (Tan Phuoc commune, Tan Thanh district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province), Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) and PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for construction of LNG Thi Vai terminal warehouse.
