PVN Chairman of Board of Directors receives new Russian Ambassador to Vietnam

On 20th October 2021, at the headquarters of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN), Chairman of the Board of Directors Hoang Quoc Vuong received Mr. Gennady Bezdetko, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Vietnam. Accompanying the Ambassador were representative leaders of Russian oil and gas companies Zarubezhneft, Novatek. Accompanying the Chairman of the Board of Directors were representative leaders of relevant Divisions of the Group.

 

At the meeting, Mr. Gennady Bezdetko thanked the leader of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group for taking the time to welcome him on the occasion of his new assignment in Vietnam. The Ambassador highly appreciated the cooperation and support of PVN leaders to the Russian partners in the projects implemented in Vietnam. 

Affirming that the cooperation between Vietnam and Russia in the oil and gas sector plays a key role in promoting the strategic cooperation relationship between the two countries, the Ambassador pledged to support Petrovietnam and its member units in implementing existing projects and expanding cooperative relations with Russian partners. In the immediate future, the two sides will work closely to prepare for the upcoming 23rd session of the Vietnam - Russia Intergovernmental Committee and for the official visit to Russia by President Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

PVN leaders also believe that the long-lasting traditional partnership and mutual understanding between Vietnam and Russia will be favorable conditions for promoting and developing cooperation projects in the energy, oil and gas sectors between the two countries.
