PV DRILLING VI jack-up rig

PV DRILLING VI is the latest generation jack-up rig of PV Drilling, built and completed in February 2015. The PV DRILLING VI rig can drill up to 9,000m at a maximum depth of 121m, with maximum combined drilling capacity of up to 2,500 kips (1,134 MT) and many other outstanding technical features. According to the signed contract, PV DRILLING VI rig will start drilling 01 well for Thang Long JOC’s drilling program from mid-September 2021 at Block 15-2/01, Vietnamese waters. 

Besides provision of drilling services to Thang Long JOC, PV Drilling also provides other technical services such as Mud Logging, Well-site Geologist, Casing & Tubing Running Services, Drilling Tool Rental Services and Casing Accessories Provision Services. 

Mud Logging and Well-site Geologist are services performed entirely by PV Drilling’s team of Vietnamese engineers and experts. With the advantage of understanding the geology and characteristics of the regional fields, along with extensive domestic and international working experience, PV Drilling is fully confident that these services can compete with multinational companies right from the first day of development in the mid-2000s, then gradually conquer customers and hold up to 90% of the domestic market share over the past 10 years. Casing & Tubing Running Services and Drilling Tool Rental Services are also among the strong services of PV Drilling when accounting for 95% and 100% of the domestic service market share respectively for many consecutive years.
