Overview of the meeting 

At the meeting, President and CEO of Petrovietnam and General Director of Zarubezhneft exchanged information about the operation situation of the two groups as well as production activities in joint ventures and cooperation projects between the two sides. 

It is shared by President and CEO Le Manh Hung at the meeting that Vietnam is experiencing the 4th outbreak of Covid-19 epidemic with complicated developments, directly affecting major cities and provinces, causing difficulties in key economic areas. In such a difficult context, with timely, synchronous and effective solutions, Petrovietnam still maintains a safe and stable production pace, especially ensures the health safety of all employees in the Group. Recently, Petrovietnam has coordinated with the Ministry of Health, functional agencies and localities to quickly deploy vaccination for oil and gas workers. With regard to Vietsovpetro, most of the officers, employees and workers at the Joint Venture have been vaccinated, production and business activities have remained stable and effective in the context of social distancing and is expected to exceed the planned targets approved by the two-side Joint Venture Council in 2021.

Also on the occasion, Petrovietnam and Zarubezhneft exchanged and discussed about strengthening cooperation in new oil and gas projects in the future. Mr. Sergei Kudryashov, General Director of Zarubezhneft shared information about new promising oil and gas projects and expressed his desire to cooperate with Petrovietnam in these projects. 

At the meeting, President and CEO Le Manh Hung affirmed that Zarubezhneft is a strategic and reliable partner of Petrovietnam with a tradition of long-term, stable and effective cooperation that has been confirmed through the success in Vietsovpetro and Rusvietpetro. In the coming time, Petrovietnam is committed to creating favorable conditions to support Zarubezhneft in ongoing projects, promoting cooperation in new oil and gas projects with the goal of bringing the best benefits to both sides.
