Petrovietnam strengthens cooperation with JCCP
On 2nd October in Hanoi, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) held the Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding on strengthening cooperation between the Group and Japan Cooperation Center for Petroleum (JCCP).

The signing ceremony was attended and witnessed by Mr. Daisuke Okabe, Economic Ambassador of Japan Embassy in Vietnam; Mr. Tsuyoshi Nakai – JCCP CEO and representing leaders of JCCP.

Petrovietnam was represented by Mr. Le Manh Hung – President and CEO, Mr. Phan Ngoc Trung - member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Le Xuan Huyen – Vice President and heads of the Departments/ Administration Office. 

Speaking at the signing ceremony, on behalf of the Group's leader, Mr. Phan Ngoc Trung assessed the signing of the memorandum of understanding on strengthening cooperation between Petrovietnam and JCCP would mark a new chapter in the cooperation between the two sides.

Petrovietnam and JCCP have started a cooperative relationship since 1990. In 2011, Japan included Vietnam in the list of countries with the oil and gas cooperation. For nearly 30 years, thousands of employees of the Group and its subsidiaries have attended training courses in Japan and more than 200 experts from JCCP have come to Vietnam to lecture, exchange knowledge and experience in economics - management - techniques in the field of midstream and downstream. Currently, JCCP and its subsidiaries have implemented 14 technical cooperation projects with Petrovietnam. 

This memorandum of understanding between Petrovietnam and JCCP will permit greater agency-to-agency cooperation across the range of human resources development and technical cooperation, focusing on mid and downstream of oil and gas industries, as well as other sectors of the petroleum industry, satisfying the actual development requirements and new energy trends

Mr. Phan Ngoc Trung – member of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam delivered speech at the Signing Ceremony. 

On behalf of the Group's leader, Mr. Phan Ngoc Trung expressed his belief that the cooperation between Petrovietnam and JCCP not only strengthens the relationship, benefits the participants in particular, but also shows the friendship between Japan and Vietnam.

Speaking at the Signing Ceremony, JCCP CEO Tsuyoshi Nakai expressed his gratitude to Petrovietnam's leaders for their interest and support to JCCP in implementing the cooperation projects between the two sides. On the occasion, Mr. Tsuyoshi Nakai also expressed his desire that Petrovietnam would continue creating favorable conditions for JCCP to perform well the cooperation between the two parties and believed that Petrovietnam and JCCP would continue to achieve much success in cooperation, contribute to building and fostering the friendship between Vietnam and Japan.
