Petrovietnam signs Memorandum of Understanding with Zarubezhneft
Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) and Zarubezhneft signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the potential cooperation in oil and gas exploration and production within the framework of Vietsovpetro and Rusvietpetro.

Within the framework of State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s official visit to the Russian Federation, in the afternoon of 1st February at the headquarters of the Russian Government, under the witness of Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, Petrovietnam President and CEO Le Manh Hung and Zarubezhneft General Director Sergei Kudryashov signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the potential development of cooperation in oil and gas exploration and production within the framework of Vietsovpetro and Rusvietpetro.

Earlier at the meeting between the two Deputy Prime Ministers, the two sides discussed the relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation and reviewed the results achieved by the two sides within the framework of the 23rd meeting of Vietnam - Russia Intergovernmental Committee on economic - trade, scientific and technical cooperation. The two Deputy Prime Ministers also discussed measures to further strengthen cooperation in various fields in the coming time. 

Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko affirmed that they would make efforts to direct ministries and branches to focus on implementing the Minutes of the 23rd meeting, effectively promoting the cooperation mechanism of the Intergovernmental Committee with focus on traditional and spearhead fields such as energy, oil and gas, trade, investment, science - technology… as well as expand cooperation to new potential fields such as clean energy, health care, including the prevention of Covid-19 epidemic.
