In the first 10 months of 2021, despite many difficulties due to the Covid-19 outbreak leading to social distancing and disrupted supply chain of equipment, with the close direction of the Party Committee and Petrovietnam leaders, all employees of the Group and the contractors/field operators have made great efforts for high achievements and successful completion of the assigned tasks.

The early fulfillment of the domestic oil production plan is a great effort of Petrovietnam in the face of natural output decline of existing oil and gas fields after a long period of production and the mechanism problems in the investment and development of new fields. With the increased application of scientific, technical, and technological solutions, oil recovery improvement solutions, Petrovietnam’s engineers and employees have tried their best for maximum production within the allowable technical safety conditions to take advantage of market opportunities during the period of positive oil prices in order to protect revenue sources and make the highest contribution to the state budget.

The result has helped Petrovietnam make an important contribution to the national budget. With so many difficulties in the first 10 months of 2021, Petrovietnam paid a very high rate of 75.4 trillion dong to the state budget, exceeding 21% of the 2021 plan and 23% over the same period in 2020. In the context that many large enterprises face difficulties and losses under the severe impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the important contributions of Petrovietnam are really the enthusiasm and hearts of nearly 60,000 oil and gas employees; showing affection and responsibility to the country in the current difficult period. 

This is very meaningful good news for Petrovietnam, continuing to write a golden history page with the glorious mission of “finding oil to enrich the country”, practically celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam Oil and Gas Industry (27th November 1961 - 27th November 2021).
