Major Projects

Vietnam Natural Oil and Gas Group has been implementing series of big-scaled, various and complicated gas projects to meet demand not only for electricity production industry but also for chemical, fertilizer, transportation and construction materials production industries. In 2009, Petrovietnam provided 7.9 billion cubic meters of dry gas, 67,000 tons of Condensate, nearly 260,000 tons of LPG for domestic consumption.

Big-scaled power facilities

In the past years, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) has been implementing big-scaled power facilities such as Ca Mau Power Center including 2 gas-fired power plants with total capacity of 1,500MW (commercial operation at the end of 2008) and Nhon Trach Gas-Fired Power Plant No.1 with capacity of 450MW, which provides nearly 10 billion KWh for the national electricity grid, sharing the burden with Electricity of Vietnam and ensuring power supply for production and lives of the people.

Oil Refinery and Petrochemicals

According to the development strategy of Petrovietnam to 2015 and the orientation to 2025, by 2015 Petrovietnam will put into operation Dung Quat Refinery, Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex and a refinery in the south. Together with the refineries, Petrovietnam has operated Phu My Fertilizer Plant, DOP plant and a condensate processing plant. Petrovietnam is also carrying out petrochemical projects such Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant, the South Petrochemical Complex and Dinh Vu Polyester Plant.
