Attending the meeting on the Lithuanian side were Mr. Gabrielius Landsbergis, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Simonas Šatūnas, Chief of the Ministry Office; Mr. Darius Gaidys, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Vietnam; Mr. Linas Kilda, Business Development Manager, AB Klaipėdos nafta Oil and Gas Company. On the side of Petrovietnam, there were Vice President Phan Tu Giang; heads of Divisions/ Administration Office of the Group and representative leader of PV GAS.
Overview of the meeting
At the meeting, Petrovietnam President and CEO Le Manh Hung gave preliminary information to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania and leader of Lithuanian National Oil and Gas Company about Petrovietnam’s main activities in the current period and towards the goal of net zero emissions by 2050 as committed by the Prime Minister of Vietnam at COP26.
In addition, President and CEO Le Manh Hung emphasized the role of LNG in the energy transition process with the desire to promote the synchronous deployment of LNG use for power projects and gas/LNG value chains.

President and CEO Le Manh Hung highly appreciated AB Klaipėdos Nafta Oil and Gas Company as one of the leading operators of oil and LNG terminals, and said that Petrovietnam has been implementing many LNG-related projects in charge of PV GAS. President and CEO Le Manh Hung expected AB Klaipėdos nafta and PV GAS to directly exchange cooperation and support related to LNG projects.

Mr. Gabrielius Landsbergis - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania acknowledged the long-term partnership between Vietnam and Lithuania and expressed his hope that Vietnamese and Lithuanian businesses would have more opportunities for cooperation to develop and expand operations in many fields, especially the energy.
Mr. Linas Kilda, Business Development Director, AB Klaipėdos nafta company thanked Petrovietnam’s leader for welcoming the delegation, and hoped that in the upcoming energy projects, AB Klaipėdos nafta would have the opportunity to cooperate and share experiences with Petrovietnam.
The two sides agreed to exchange and build cooperation agreements in the field of LNG, emission reduction, renewable energy... in due course.
