As part of the activities to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam Oil and Gas Industry, on 24th November 2021, Petrovietnam held a ceremony to celebrate the fulfillment of the 2021 oil production plan of 9.72 million tons 39 days ahead of schedule and towards the production milestone of over one million ton for the whole year; As Petrovietnam has committed to the Party and State leaders to contribute their responsibilities, together with the whole country to overcome difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Previously, from 19th November, Petrovietnam fulfilled the domestic oil production target of 7.99 million tons 42 days ahead of schedule and on 22nd November, the Group fulfilled the total domestic and foreign production target of 9.72 million tons 39 days ahead of schedule. This is really an extraordinary result that reflects the efforts of close and effective governance of Petrovietnam under the strong direction of the Party and State leaders. 

In the context of forecasting difficulties in terms of disease, technology and market instability; continuing the development and implementation of response to the impacts of the crisis in 2020, since the fourth quarter of 2020, Petrovietnam has organized to work with each operator at the field blocks to assess and analyze risks, look for opportunities, take advantage of each solution to increase production and synthesize into a complete and feasible management plan for implementation. Along with the cooperation and companionship of oil and gas contractors, the steadfast bravery to overcome difficulties, the ability to manage fluctuations that are forged regularly and quickly in taking advantage of the peak of oil prices, Petrovietnam once again stands firm, overcome challenges and achieve meaningful success. 

While many large enterprises are facing difficulties and losses under the severe impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the important contributions of Petrovietnam are really the enthusiasm and hearts of nearly 60,000 oil and gas employees; showing affection and responsibility to the country in the current difficult period.

This is very meaningful good news for Petrovietnam, continuing to write a golden history page with the glorious mission of “finding oil to enrich the country”.
